  •  Gear Clamp: A gear clamp is not as commonly used in woodworking as it is in plumbing or automotive contexts. However, in woodworking, a gear clamp is bar-style clamp with a ratcheting or geared handle that allows fast, controlled tightening. It is a hybrid between a traditional F-clamp and a quick-release clamp, but with added mechanical advantage. If you're building furniture or doing glue-ups where speed and pressure matter, gear clamps can be a real time-saver. Find gear clamps here.

  •  Genno / Gennou Hammer: A traditional Japanese hammer. It has a dual-faced head, with one side flat for starting nails or striking chisels, the other is slightly convex to finish nails cleanly without damaging the surface. Find Japanese hammers here.

  •  Grinding Jig:A grinding jig can also be referred to as a fixture, guide or stop. You mount your edge tool in the jig for controlled sharpening on a sharpening system. Find grinding jigs here.

  •  Guide Bush: A round ring or bush which is mounted on the base of a router, with a space for the cutter to pass through it. It acts as a guidance device for following templates and board edges. Find guide bushes here.
